Where is it?
Aesthetic Allure
From the outside of the wardrobe you would expect a big warehouse space and not the aesthetic room I walked into. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful bar covered in greenery and a hundred beautiful bottles. To your left, you have the food area with lovely booths and tables and to your left you’ve got a gorgeous bar area with sofas where you can sit down and have a drink. In the centre of the room there is still a huge space for you to have a drink and a boogie!
Sip, Savor, Repeat
We’re on a bit of a health kick at the moment which means no alcohol for us, but it was a pleasant surprise to see such a good range of mocktails and alcohol-free spirits! We decided to go for the Pineapple & Raspberry Collins and the Passion Fruit Spritz, both were absolutely delicious. The Pineapple & Raspberry Collins was definitely my favourite with such a sweet blend of pineapple juice, homemade raspberry syrup, lemon and soda. There are definitely loads of drinks options here, and definitely a perfect go-to drink spot for an after-theatre trip!
Food, Glorious Food
On to my favourite part of the outing, the food! We were absolutely spoiled for choice here and that’s crazy coming from me because being a fussy eater tends to come with only one or two viable food options on the menu. In this case there were several options for me and I found it so hard to decide what I wanted – I ended up going for the Chicken Parmigiana and David went for the Rump Steak. I’m going to start off by saying that in both meals we were both amazed by how delicious the chips were, they were so fluffy and I could’ve honestly eaten bowls of them. The meat for both of us was also incredible – both were so tender and melt in the mouth type of meats.
We were also lucky enough to try some delicious tapas-y bits, I’m inserting a picture because for the life of me I can’t remember what these were – I was just so excited to try some new bits of food! I definitely tried a fishy salmon vol-au-vent (is that how you spell it – who knows??) and some scallop on an anchovy dip. All of these bits were so yummy and you could definitely come in for a few small plates and a drink!
The Verdict is in
All-in-all I was definitely more impressed with this than I thought I would be – I definitely want to come back in the future to try a few more of their dishes and of course come and see a few of their live music gigs! Coming up they’ve got Jamie Webster, The Vaccines, Gossip, just to name a few so some big headliners in the mix as well as delicious meals and tasty drinks! Definitely a go-to Leeds spot for me!
